- 1Upon arrival in Brynnlaw, if you sided with Bodhi, Saemon Havarian will escort you to the Vulgar Monkey without incident.
- 2If you sided with Aran Linvail, Havarian will apologize for what he must do. Three vampires—Del, Parisa, and Valen—will attack. The Mace of Disruption is effective against them.
- 3After defeating the vampires, Sime will direct you to the Vulgar Monkey to speak with Sanik.
- 4Head to the dock, ignoring the locked door to Lady Galvena's Festhall. Witness the inconsequential duel and ignore Calahan for now.
- 5Proceed through a doorway and up steps to find yourself outside the Vulgar Monkey.
- 6Ignore Chremy for the moment and enter the inn, which is frequented by pirates.
- 7Speak to your contact, Sanik.
- 8An assassin will teleport in and murder Sanik, then turn his attention to you. Defeat the assassin.

- 20Leave the courtesan's room and go to the adjacent kitchen. If challenged by a guard, claim to be a new employee.
- 21In the kitchen, tell the cook, Ellie, that you are there to free Claire and that she can help.
- 22Persuade Ellie, and she will agree to spike the guards' ale. Her assistant will deliver the poisoned ale, earning you 1000 XP.
- 23Follow the assistant out and witness the guards being poisoned.
- 24The assistant informs you that Captain Rerdes is in Lady Galvena's room and opens the door for you.

- 36To find Perth's house, go to the alley where you found Ginia and ascend the steps to the next level. A niche in the wall contains a Wand of Paralyzation.
- 37Continue up to the next level to find Perth's door.
- 38Cast Protection From Evil and Remove Fear on your party before entering Perth's residence.
- 39Perth the Adept will initiate a "test of your limits." If Yoshimo is present, Perth will make an interesting remark.
- 40Perth will become hostile. Breach and missile attacks are effective. You will earn 20000 XP for defeating him.
- 41Search Perth's remains for his Wardstone for Asylum and a Book of Infinite Spells, which allows a non-Mage to cast a specific spell.
