Discover the horrors of the RimWorld Anomaly DLC. Learn about entities like Fleshbeasts and Sightstealers, the Void Monolith, containment, and new research.
Walkthrough
- 1The Monolith: Found on the map or via the 'Strange Signal' quest. Activates when investigated, ignoring warnings. Higher monolith levels spawn more dangerous entities. There are 8 entities at level 1, 17 at level 2, and 2 at level 3.
- 2Entities: These are the main threats. Most appear after the monolith is investigated. They can be studied by incapacitating them and placing them in a containment cell to advance the Anomaly Tech Tree.
- 3Ambient Horror: A mode where the monolith does not appear, making Anomaly threats rare. The monolith endgame is not possible in this mode.
- 4Anomaly Settings: Threat frequency can be adjusted in custom difficulty. Default settings are 8% when the monolith is inactive and 30% after investigation. Minor incidents are not affected.
- 5Basic Entities: These include the Void monolith, Harbinger tree, Fleshbeast, Sightstealer, Shambler, Ghoul, Gorehulk, and Death pall.
Tips
- Incapacitate entities and place them in containment cells to study them.
- Adjust Anomaly threat frequency in custom difficulty settings to suit your playstyle.
- Ambient Horror mode is good for experiencing Anomaly content without it being the main focus.
The Anomaly DLC adds a new horror-themed expansion to RimWorld, introducing new gameplay mechanics, entities, research, and an endgame.
