Walkthrough
- 1The Monolith: This structure appears at the start or after the 'Strange Signal' quest. Investigating it activates it, increasing its level and allowing more dangerous entities to appear. There are 3 levels, requiring discovery of specific entities to advance.
- 2Entities: These are the primary threats. Most appear after the monolith is investigated. They can be studied by incapacitating them and placing them in containment cells, advancing the Anomaly Tech Tree.
- 3Entity Codex: Discovering entities unlocks entries in this codex. Higher monolith levels spawn more dangerous entities.
- 4Studying Entities: Incapacitate an entity and place it in a containment cell. Colonists will use the 'Dark Research' job to study them.
- 5Monolith Levels: Level 1 requires discovering 8 entities. Level 2 requires discovering 7 out of 8 level 1 entities. Level 3 requires discovering 12 out of 17 level 1 or 2 entities.
Tips
- The 'Ambient Horror' setting allows Anomaly content without the monolith being the focus, but the monolith endgame is not possible.
- Anomaly threat frequency can be adjusted in custom difficulty settings (default: 8% inactive, 30% active). These sliders do not affect minor incidents.
