Crafting Ship Parts for Escape and Advancement

Crafting ship parts is a critical late-game objective in RimWorld, primarily for constructing a spaceship to escape the planet. These complex components require significant resources, high crafting skill, and dedicated workstations. Successfully building a spaceship is often the ultimate goal of a standard RimWorld playthrough, demanding careful planning and resource management.

The primary ship part you'll need to craft is the Long-Range Mineral Scanner, which is vital for finding rare resources off-world. Following that, you'll need to craft the Ship Hull sections, the Archotech Components, and finally, the Ship Engine. Each of these requires a substantial amount of steel, components, and advanced materials.
