Learn about all the Status effects in Remnant: From the Ashes, including Bleeding, Burning, Frostbite, and more. Discover how to cure each status and inflict them on enemies.

In addition to ordinary damage, some enemy attacks also apply a Status to your character. A Status causes continuous elemental damage for a set period. Each one is remedied by a Consumable that ends its effect. Statuses stack so more than one Status can affect your character at the same time. Your character can suffer multiple instances of the same Status or from a variety of different Statuses. Once you have the right weapons and mods, you can turn the tables and inflict Statuses on your enemies.

Bleeding
Enemies who hit with particularly sharp weapons can inflict the Bleeding status. Such enemies can be found on any world.
Bleeding is removed with a Bandage.

Burning
Burning is, as you might imagine, caused by exposure to fire. Enemies on every world are capable of setting your character on fire. Some of your own weapons cause fires, so make sure you don't catch yourself in your own area of effect.
Burning is removed with Hydro Coolant. If you don't have any, dodge roll to put out the flames fairly quickly.

Citadel's Curse
Citadel's Curse is automatically inflicted at the beginning of The Purge Hall dungeon on Rhom (you can't avoid it). While you have this status, you suffer continuous damage. However, you get a bit of health back for every kill that you get while cursed.
Citadel's Curse is automatically removed in the Clean Room at the end of the dungeon.

Corroded
The Corroded status is unique to Corsus, where some enemies use attacks that also cause Corrosion elemental damage.
Corroded is removed with Greenleaf.

Frostbite (Subject 2923 DLC)
Cold attacks are a hallmark of Reisum. These attacks eventually cause Frostbite, which reduces both Movement Speed and Stamina Regen.
Frostbite is removed with Spiceroot.

Infected
Some enemies of the Root spread poisonous spores through attacks or when they die and burst. Enough exposure to these spores causes Root Rot. Characters with Root Rot are Infected. The Infected status is a threat wherever you find the Root.
Infected is removed with Oilskin Tonic.

Irradiated
Radiation is a hazard peculiar to Rhom, which has been devastated by nuclear weapons. Certain enemies have elemental attacks that inflict radiation. Other enemies of Rhom leave behind a radioactive area when they die. Pools of radioactive water pose a threat to anyone who steps in.
Irradiated is removed with Heavy Water Elixir.

Overloaded
You become Overloaded--very rarely--on Yaesha. The only enemy who can do it to you is the Embalmer in the Forgotten Undercroft dungeon. He doesn't always spawn, so encountering him is actually pretty rare. More commonly, your weapons inflict Overloaded on enemies. An Overloaded creature carries a significant electrical charge. One Overloaded creature coming close enough to another electrical charge--either a Shock attack or another Overloaded creature--an explosive arc causes significant damage to anything within its area.
Overloaded is removed by an Ethereal Orb.

Parasite
Parasite is unique to Corsus, where the Iskal Husk lurks. Husks have a grapple attack which, if you do not break it, results in the husk implanting you with the Iskal Parasite. While this does halve your maximum Health, you gain regeneration. Having your health cut in half is not particularly desirable, but the Parasite status is required to gain certain rewards from Mar'Gosh and the Iskal Queen. It's therefore likely that you'll eventually want to allow yourself to be implanted.
Parasite is removed by Antiserum.
