Your adventures in Remnant: From the Ashes will take you to several other worlds, but you must find the way to them by exploring Earth. This is made dangerous by the Root, who have almost entirely overtaken your home world. You leave your home on the quest to rid the world of the enemy. Eventually, you find a haven at a human outpost called Ward 13. From there, with a little direction from your new neighbors (non-player characters), you follow the trail of clues that leads you through and beyond Earth. The path won't be easy, though--the Root is not willing to let go of what it has taken.
As you begin a new campaign, you have the option to skip or play through the tutorial (an introductory sequence). Playing through it gives you a solid introduction to the story and the NPCs (non-player characters) you'll be seeing throughout your quest. If you already know the story, skipping it gets you started more quickly.
