~ GUARD HOUSE ~

Walkthrough for Quake II's Guard House level. Objectives include destroying the security grid and finding the pyramid key card. Includes secret areas and item locations.

Walkthrough: From the start, head right and follow the corridor until you reach a Tank. Destroy it, then drop into the area below. Grab the Power Shield near the downed aircraft by the green-lit door to enter the Guard House. Search the cells for Marines and ammo. Step onto the platform and ride it up. Follow the corridor left, then continue to stairs going down. Shoot the barrels to reveal a hole in the wall; crouch through for a secret area and an Ammo Pack. Continue down the stairs and through a door to emerge outside. Grab the Stimpacks on the left and keep left for more Stimpacks and armor. Drop onto the walkway below and go through the door with a Mutant behind it. Enter a room with cracked doors on the left. Crouch through the door with a hole and shoot the cracked wall for another secret area. Exit this area and jump into the water to find a Mega Health at the bottom. Exit the water and go through the doorway to get a Hyper Blaster. Be careful of the spike trap below; use the ladder to climb back up if you fall. Step onto the platform on the left and ride it up. Continue through a door and follow the walkway to stairs going up and stairs going down. Take the stairs going down. Shoot the exploding crate to find a Super Adrenaline, grab the armor, and follow the corridor to emerge outside and fight the Strogg. A corridor will be blocked by a force field. Go up the stairs the Tank was on and press the button on the wall to disable the force field. Head down the stairs by the Armor Shards to find another Power Shield. Go through the now open corridor to find the pyramid key. Your secondary objective will update. Make your way back to the Security Complex to end this level.
