Complete Part 36 walkthrough for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, covering Level Three and Level Four, including enemy encounters and secrets.
Walkthrough
- 1From the end of the platform, jump to a secret, hidden platform.
- 2Drop the loose slab on the right and climb up.
- 3Go right to find 3 cutters in a row and a Life Extension Potion (LEP) above them. Drink the LEP.
- 4Carefully jump back to the first platform (3 slabs).
- 5Run across the first platform and immediately jump over a large pit. Hold the SHIFT button after the jump to grab the ledge.
- 6Climb up to reach the second part of Level Three. This may take practice.
- 7Inside the gate, find a Healing Potion. Go left to a platform with a skeleton.
- 8Hit the switch and go through the gate to meet a cutter and a downward path.
- 9Get past the cutter, follow the path down, and hit the level switch. The level door below will open.
- 10Head back to the skeleton's platform. The skeleton will animate when you touch the platform.
- 11Fight the skeleton. You can push it back with strikes. Push it towards the right end of the platform.
- 12Scale down the right side of the platform to face the skeleton again. Block its first attack.
- 13Keep attacking until the skeleton steps on the loose slab and falls into the pit. Level Three ends.
- 14LEVEL FOUR: THE SHADOW
- 15You start with two gates; one left and one right. The right gate is currently inaccessible.
- 16Step on the switch to open the left gate. Proceed to the next area.
- 17At a junction (straight or down), go straight first. Open the gate on the left.
- 18In the next area, approach a suspicious path. The last two steps are loose slabs, with a trap switch in the middle. Open the gate, wait for it to fully open, then run and jump over the trap.
- 19In the next area, there is a gate with no switch and two loose slabs. The switch is beneath the extreme left slab. Drop the slab, and the gate will open. Climb up the ledge to find a Life Extension Potion guarded by a cutter.
- 20Return to the junction and go down. A guard is to your left but is not essential to the level. To the right are a potion and broken slabs.
- 21Continue to an area with a guard and his cutter. Proceed past them and climb up the ledge.
- 22On top of the ledge, you can fight the guard on the left, near the initially inaccessible gate. Alternatively, jump to the right across ground-level spikes.
- 23Go straight to find a guard, the level door, and a trap switch. Slay the guard. The trap switch only closes the gate behind you.
- 24Head into the next screen. A potion is beneath you near a loose slab, useful if low on health.
- 25Proceed to the next screen where the level switch is visible. Climb up the ledge and go through the cutter.
- 26Activate the level switch. A shadow will block your path. Run and jump through the mirror. A shadow of you will jump in the opposite direction. Your life will be reduced to one bullet but you will not die.
- 27Complete the level.
Runthrough! (Level Three):
- Forget about the LEP.
- During the skeleton fight, switch sides with it. Back up to the right ledge and fall down. Hold SHIFT to hang on and climb down.
Additional Stuff; Exploring (Level Three):
- In the 2nd screen to the left, after the cutter, you will find a Level One-ish structure with a pit below. You can climb down to get a Healing Potion, but falling means death.
Stuff To Pick Up (Level Four): 4x Healing Potions
Enemies (Level Four): 4x guards
Level Difficulty (Level Four): 5
Enemy Difficulty (Level Four): 4
My Time (Level Four): 56 minutes
Password (Level Four): ACCVQC
Tips
- The skeleton in Level Three cannot be permanently killed by normal means; it must be pushed into the pit.
- The gate on the right in Level Four is inaccessible until later in the level.
- The trap in Level Four with the suspicious path can be jumped over if timed correctly.
- The trap switch in Level Four near the level door only closes the gate behind you.
- The mirror in Level Four creates a shadow that reduces your health but does not kill you.
