- 1You will start at the bottom of a ramp. To your right are shops where you can trade BP (Battle Points) for items and moves.
- 2To earn BP, you must defeat the first Kahuna, which unlocks the Mantine Surf mini-game.
- 3Speak with the lady by the sign at the back of the beach to learn about Mantine Surf.
- 4Attempt to go back up the ramp to leave. Team Skull Grunts will reappear.
- 5Speak with the Team Skull Grunts to initiate a battle.

- 8Move up the ramp to your right, where the Grunts came from.
- 9Follow the path as it loops around to another part of the beach.
- 10Interact with the Pyukumuku you see.
- 11Continue following the loop to find a White Herb at the end. Pick it up.
- 12Head back up the ramp and continue on Route 2.
