Fog Badge - Ecruteak City: Where Past and Present Meet

Upon arriving in Ecruteak City, visit the Pokémon Center and Poké Mart.

In the Pokémon Center, you will meet Bill. He will inform you that the Time Capsule will be available tomorrow, allowing trades between Pokémon Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, and Pokémon Gold and Silver, with restrictions on moves and Pokémon availability.

Bill will then return to his house in southwestern Goldenrod City. Visiting him there will reward you with an Eevee.

In the building west of the Poké Mart, find the Kimono Girls on stage. Battle and defeat all five Kimono Girls.

Speak with a man near the center of the floor after defeating the Kimono Girls to receive HM03 (Surf).

In the house southwest of the Kimono Girls' building, a man will give you the Itemfinder. This item will sound an alarm if a hidden item is on-screen.

Heal your party and head to the northwestern part of town to enter the Burned Tower.

Inside the Burned Tower, you will immediately be challenged to a battle by your rival, Silver.

Silver's Party: Haunter Lv. 20, Magnemite Lv. 18, Zubat Lv. 20. He will also use one of three Pokémon depending on your starter: Croconaw Lv. 22 (if you chose Cyndaquil), Bayleef Lv. 22 (if you chose Totodile), or Quilava Lv. 22 (if you chose Chikorita). Silver earns $1320 from this battle.

After defeating Silver, proceed to the Ecruteak City Gym to challenge Gym Leader Morty.

Leader Morty's Party: Gastly Lv. 21, Haunter Lv. 21, Gengar Lv. 25, Haunter Lv. 23. Morty earns $2300 from this battle.

Defeating Morty earns you the Fog Badge and TM30 (Shadow Ball).
