Optional World Map Exploration

Discover hidden treasures and useful items scattered across the islands of Autumnia in Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. Your guide to optional exploration!

Alright, so you've been cruising around the world map in Ni no Kuni, and you're probably wondering what else is out there beyond the main story path. Good thinking! There are definitely some worthwhile spots to check out, especially around the Autumnia region. Let's see what optional goodies we can snag.

First up, we have The Spindle, an island east of Autumnia. It's a bit tough right now, so you can only explore part of it. Head to the rocks on the south side and then make your way to the westernmost cliff. You'll find a [PIXIE DEW] tucked away there. The island to the northeast, The Broken Crown, is a no-go for now since our trusty Sea Cow can't land there – make a mental note to come back later!

Now, the islands northwest of Autumnia are where things get more interesting. The biggest one is Swan Island, and you'll even run into some familiar faces there, like Mite and Thumbelemur. As soon as you land on the beach, head south towards the mountains. Right between two small forests, you'll find a hidden treasure with [SUNDROP x2]. Keep exploring Swan Island; follow the trail heading northeast until you reach the end, and dig around in the soil for [500 G]. Not bad for a little detour! There's also a forage point on the west side of Swan Island that yields [FOGDROP], which is super handy for alchemy later on.

Don't forget the smaller islands nearby! Visit the tiny isle just west of Swan Island. Walk over its beach and then onto the adjacent tiny isle. Search the southern part of this little guy to grab [BABANA FLAN x2]. And on that same small island west of Swan Island, check out the northernmost tip for a [CAPPUCINO]. Lastly, head to Ugly Duckling Isle, south of Swan Island. The forage spot here gives you an [ANGULA], and if you go to the northernmost tip of this island, you'll find [RUBY RIPPLE ICE CREAM x2].

There's also a way to explore the northwest part of the mainland Autumnia. Disembark at the western beach and follow the mountain trail. Be warned, though – the enemies here are seriously powerful, around level 40. It's probably best to steer clear for now unless you've done a lot of grinding. However, if you're feeling brave and want a really good treasure, save your game on the beach first. Head all the way to the end of the trail and search the area northeast of the stone. You'll find a [PHOENIX BREATH]! This item is a lifesaver, reviving your whole party to full health, and it's incredibly useful for the final dungeons. While you're at the end of the trail, there's also a forage point with a [PLANET CRYSTAL], another useful alchemy ingredient.
