Becoming Official

Learn how to register your workshop with Matilda at City Hall in My Time at Sandrock. Get tips on naming your workshop and starting your first main quest.

Alright, so you've made your Recycler and had a chat with Yan. The next big step is getting your workshop officially registered! You'll need to head over to City Hall and talk to Matilda. This is how you'll start taking on clients, so it's pretty important!

To get to City Hall, just head northeast from the Commerce Guild. It's located up at the top of the main street. As you're heading towards the main square, you'll run into Pen. He's going to offer you a side quest called Combat Training. You can totally do this tutorial now if you want a quick refresher on combat, or you can skip it and come back to it later. Once you finally make it into City Hall, you'll meet Matilda. She's stepping in as Mayor while Mayor Trudy is out of town. After a quick chat, she'll give you the awesome opportunity to name your workshop! Make it a good one, because this name is what everyone will see above your place.

Don't stress too much about the name, though. If you change your mind later, you can always buy a Rename Card from the City Hall store to change it. After you've picked a name, you'll wrap up this quest and kick off the next main quest, First Day on the Job.
