How to Make a Basic Planting Kit

Learn how to craft the Basic Planting Kit in My Time at Sandrock. This guide details unlocking the recipe, gathering materials like Copper Sticks, Bronze Bars, Rubber Tubes, and Old Parts, and how to obtain raw resources.

Before you can farm in My Time at Sandrock, you'll need to craft a Basic Planting Kit. The recipe is unlocked the day after completing the 'Moisture Farm Blues' mission, arriving via mail from Zeke. To craft the kit, you will need the following materials:

• Copper Sticks x3
• Bronze Bars x6
• Rubber Tubes x3
• Old Parts x2

To acquire these materials, you'll need the following raw resources:

• Copper Ore (at least 54)
• Tin Ore (at least 20)
• Mechanical Scraps (for Old Parts)
• Rubber or Rubber Scraps (at least 18 Rubber)

How to Get Copper Sticks

Copper Sticks can be obtained by recycling Copper Scraps or by processing Copper Bars. You need 2 Copper Bars to make 1 Copper Stick, so for 3 sticks, you'll need 6 Copper Bars (which requires 24 Copper Ore).

How to Get Copper Ore

Copper Ore is abundant in the Abandoned Ruins, primarily found on the first level. Mine large Copper Crystals and break blue-brown debris to collect it.

How to Make Bronze Bars

Bronze Bars are crafted in the Furnace using 3 Copper Ore and 2 Tin Ore. To make 10 Bronze Bars, you'll need 30 Copper Ore and 20 Tin Ore. You can also purchase Bronze Bars from Hammertime for about 45 Gols each, or buy Bronze Ore (4 Gols) and Tin Ore (8 Gols) from the Eufaula Salvage Shop.

How to Get Tin Ore

Tin Ore is found in the Abandoned Ruins on levels 3 and deeper. It is mined from silver, spiky crystals. It's common once you reach these deeper levels.

How to Get Rubber Tubes

Rubber Tubes can be obtained by recycling Rubber Scraps or by crafting them in the Grinder. Crafting 1 Rubber Tube requires 3 Rubber, so you'll need 18 Rubber for 6 tubes. The recipe for Rubber Tubes can be purchased from the Commerce Guild Store for around 44 Gols.

How to Get Rubber

Rubber can be obtained by recycling Rubber Scraps or by digging in Junk Piles, particularly in the Eufaula Salvage Yard.

How to Get Old Parts

Old Parts are primarily obtained by recycling Mechanical Scraps in the Recycler, though this is a random drop. Mechanical Scraps can be found in Junk Piles or Mechanical Scrap piles in the Eufaula Salvage Yard. Old Parts can also occasionally be found while mining in the Eufaula Salvage Abandoned Ruins.
