This section details the objectives and plot progression within Midnight Club: Los Angeles Complete Edition. The game begins with the player moving to Los Angeles and receiving a call from the City Champ, Booke. You'll start with a choice of three cars: a 1998 Nissan 240SX, a 1983 Volkswagen Golf GTI, or a 1988 Volkswagen Scirocco. As you build reputation, you'll unlock the ability to become the City Champ. After defeating regional opponents, you'll face Booke in the final City Champ race at the Standard Hotel. Winning this race unlocks further championship races against the Champs of all five vehicle classes: Oswaldo, Julian, Lester, Pete, and Marcel. Following this, Booke proposes a partnership to co-own his garages for $1 million, offering free access to anything in them. This proposition also impacts Doc's South Central garage.
