Part 74

Trash Bins: The boss may toss Luigi into one of the Trash Bins. Keep track of which one Luigi went into and defeat it. The Bin Contents include Chain Chomp (Hammer counter), Dead Fish (Hammer counter), and Nooz (counter with hammer). The Actual Attack is Tackle, which requires a hammer counter when close. Offensively, use the Falling Star Special for optimal damage against the Junker. If Trash Bins are summoned and Luigi is not taken, use Snack Basket. If Luigi is taken, repeatedly jump on the Bin he is in. Otherwise, heal or jump.

Dark Star X: This boss is located in the Challenge Node -> Gauntlet. Its HP is 4,030 and C. Medal is 6,045. It cannot be damaged until hit by two bombs from kamikaze attacks from two Dark Satellites, and this period is limited. Attacks include Roll (Hammer deflection), Lasering Shadows (double-jump), Energy Orbs (jump over), Large Laser (hang onto Starlow and get off immediately after it ends), Laser on the ground (jump over), and Final Attack (Press A and B to leave fast). Initially, use Jumps to raise the Badge meter. After a few turns, it will summon two Dark Satellites. Use the Snack Basket Special to attack.

Dark Satellite X's: These sub-bosses are located in the Challenge Node -> Gauntlet. Their HP is 416 and C. Medal is 624. Attacks include Laser (jump over if from ground, otherwise do nothing) and Suicide with Bomb (Hammer the enemy).

Dark Star X Strategy Continued: After defeating both Dark Satellites, they will perform a kamikaze move by launching themselves and a bomb at you. Hit the Dark Satellite. A double hammer counter from the Mario Bros. will work, though one bro will take damage. After both Dark Satellites are sent into the Dark Star, it becomes damageable. If using the Powerful Badge and the gauge is full, use it and the Falling Star Special. Repeat this process until the Dark Star loses all of its HP.

Bowser X: This boss is located in the Challenge Node -> Gauntlet. Its HP is 7,155 and C. Medal is 9,999. Attacks include Punch with puff (do nothing), Punch without puff (jump), Fire Breath (jump and hold onto Starlow), Goomba Storm (first half: jump on/over; second half: hammer counter), Shy Guy Attack (~10 hammer counters), Fireballs (hammer counter), and Giga Bowser (jump and dodge).
