Walkthrough

    After the scene, save your game and heal Bowser if needed.

    Return to the Wiggler and speak with him to initiate the boss battle.

    After the Wiggler battle, you'll receive the Banzai Bill. Go south one area, Save, and go south again.

    Head to the Nerve Cluster.

    Go through the Nerve Cluster to reach a scene and the Durmite boss.

Boss: Wiggler

Strategy: Wiggler

  • Hit Wiggler's red body parts to make them yellow. Prioritize back-to-front for defense.
  • Ignore the head as it cannot be damaged.
  • Once four body parts are yellow, use Special moves on Wiggler for the next two turns.
  • Every so often, two Leaf Guys will appear holding a large vegetable. Vacuum the Leaf Guys so the Mario Bros. can fight them. This also damages Wiggler. If you don't vacuum them, they will drop the vegetable on you.

  • Item Drops: Syrup Jar, POW Gloves
  • Attacks: Tackle (Hammer counter), Silk String (Jump over), Vacuum & Spit (Jump over Biffidus), Straw (Jump/Hammer or Durmite restores HP).
  • Notices: Biffidus enemies (10/15 HP, tackle attack) may join. The Straw has 16/24 HP.
Tips
  • The Wiggler fight has a one-minute time limit, but it's beatable within 37 seconds and retryable.
  • The Leaf Guys will eventually drop the vegetable on you if you don't vacuum them.
  • The Durmite battle is fairly basic.
