The Forsaken Fen Walkthrough

Upon entering The Forsaken Fen, you'll find the merchant Thehk-Ihir. Stock up on Poison Cures. Follow the path, fall down the pit to initiate the boss fight against The Congregator of Flesh. Attack its legs from behind, dodge its ground slam, and use the Umbral Lamp to siphon summoned parasites. Avoid its lunge attack if keeping distance.

After defeating The Congregator of Flesh, you'll receive a Vestige Seed, Remembrance of the Congregator of Flesh, and an Umbral Scouring. Proceed through the tunnel and across the wooden bridge to collect a Poison Resistance Balm. Enter Umbral to access the area below. Clear enemies, collect Minor Fire Salts, and head up the hill to activate the Vestige of Valade. Speak with Byron and exhaust his dialogue. Follow the hill right of Byron to collect an Ammunition Pouch and Small Manastone Clusters. Under the bridge, find a Small Deralium Fragment.

Enter Umbral, hug the left wall, and soulflay a statue for the Angel’s Axe. Climb the tree branch and follow the path right to a door leading back to the Vestige of Valade. Return through the door, lower the ladder, and enter Umbral to climb it. Collect Regular Deralium Nuggets, follow the path, clearing three enemies. Pick up the Harbinger Amour Tinct from the flames, then head to the top of the hill and emerge from Umbral.

Proceed to a bridge, enter Umbral to cross the gap. At the split path, go right for a Smite Cure. Climb to the top of the hill to find Resh-Mesah’s Sword, then return to the main path. Go downhill, pass through the gate using the Umbral Lamp, and find a Shuja Harmony Hoop at the end of the room. Return to the main path, enter Umbral for a stigma, then drop down and rest at the Vestige of Valade.

Use the shortcut back to the main area, then climb down the ladder to the right. Destroy vines on your right to find the Cursewyrm Ring and Exemplar Amour Tinct. Clear enemies in the open area. On the left, behind vines, find the Petrified Woman. Use a holy item to cure her petrification and exhaust her dialogue. Log out and back in to find Wilmare’s Catalyst where she was. Cross the wooden bridge, enter Umbral to your left, drop down, and navigate the cave to find the Poison Javalin.

Cross the wooden bridge again. Defeat the three enemies on the right. Enter Umbral, drop down, and soulflay a corpse for the Saintly Quintessence. Climb the ladder to the hut's roof for the Shuja Warrior Spear. Return to the wooden platform, go under the bridge, and take a left at the split. Follow the path and place a Vestige Seedling.

Return the way you came, hug the right wall, and destroy a wooden plank to access a side area. Enter Umbral, soulflay a corpse for the Verdure Ring, and break through vines to find the Iron Wayfarer. Exhaust his dialogue, then return and take the right route.

Watch for three rolling balls as you ascend the hill. At the path's end, you'll encounter the optional boss, Mendacious Visage. Soulflay the two bodies to reveal the boss. Clear nearby enemies before engaging the boss. When its head is open, soulflay the enemy inside for a grievous strike. Attack from behind when its head is closed, and watch for its jump attack that creates a Frostbite AoE.
