How to Turn Off the Haze Gas in Grounded

So, you've been venturing around the Yard and stumbled upon that pesky Haze gas area to the southwest, huh? It's a real pain, but don't worry, you can totally get rid of it! It's a later-game thing, but once it's gone, you won't need that gas mask anymore to explore there. Just a heads-up, the infected creatures will still hang out, but hey, at least you can grab that fungus growth without choking!

Before we tackle the Haze itself, you'll need some Gum Nuggets. You can snag these from the resource room in the Black Anthill Lab, or you can dig them up from the ground in various spots around the Yard. If you want to dig 'em up, you'll need a Tier II shovel, specifically a Black Ant Shovel. To make that, you'll need to get some materials from Black Soldier Ants, which you can find in the Black Anthill. Here's what you'll need for the shovel:

Once you've got that shovel, you can use it to dig up Gum Nuggets and even some buried treasure, especially in the Sandbox area!

Alright, now for the main event: getting rid of the Haze. You'll actually have to head back *into* the Haze for this, so make sure you've got your gas mask ready. Your goal is to find the central area with the wooden porch. From there, hop up onto some rocks nearby. You'll spot a stick leaning against a bench – grab that stick and take it all the way across the bench to reach the nozzle of a weedkiller canister. Keep traversing along the nozzle until you reach the very top. Look for a hole on the left side of the canister; that's where the toxic gas is leaking from!

Here's the fun part: take one of your precious Gum Nuggets and pop it right into that hole. Boom! You've just plugged the leak. This action will clear up the Haze in that area, meaning you can finally explore it without worrying about the gas. Pretty sweet, right?
