Complete Grounded creature card collection guide. Learn creature locations, weaknesses, and how to find gold cards.

The grounded creature card system allows you to enter a binocular mode called PEEP-R, enabling you to scan the area. If a creature you have not yet photographed appears, question marks will show at the bottom of the screen, along with an option to press a button and snap a photo of them. On PC, you can enter PEEP-R mode by pressing ‘X’ and then document the creature by pressing ‘E’. Controller players have different inputs.

Once you have successfully seen and documented a creature, you receive a creature card. These cards are stored in the Data folder in your game menu. Each creature card displays a cartoon image. Clicking a creature’s card reveals information about it, including its weaknesses, which helps you learn which weapons and elemental weapon types are effective against specific creatures. You also get a stat tracker showing how many times you have defeated that creature.

There is a chance when you use PEEP-R on a creature that you may get a gold card. These are collectibles for 100% completionists. You can also obtain gold cards by killing and looting the corpses of these creatures. Collecting every single creature card in grounded also rewards you with an achievement.
