Walkthrough

    Man the turret and eliminate all appearing Locusts. Use zoom by holding L. If Locusts take (cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects)) behind hallway windows, dismount the turret and engage them directly.

    After clearing the Emergence Hole enemies, return to the turret. A Locust will kick open a door behind it; kill this enemy, potentially using the chainsaw.

    An Emergence Hole will appear; attempt to destroy it or shoot all enemies. Use the wall for (cover) or move to another position if needed.

    Head north. Check the middle door (to your left) as sometimes a Grunt may remain or a new one may appear.

    Proceed north past the Emergence Hole and look left. Chainsaw or kill the enemy on the Troika.

    Hop over the sandbags in front of the Troika and watch the (cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically)).

    After the (cutscene), turn around and head down the steps. Take (cover) behind the sandbags.

    Engage and eliminate all moving Locusts. Use the chainsaw if enemies get too close. Maintain heavy fire to prevent flanking.

    A "Point-of-Interest" icon will appear, and a Locust will scream. A previously closed door will open; take (cover) and eliminate the enemy.

    After the fight, head outside, find a shotgun, and switch your Lancer for it. Pick up shotgun ammo from fallen enemies.

    Hammer (A17): Head back inside the building and to the left. Enter the now-open door.

    Go up the stairs to the right. At the overhang where you can see Cole shooting, turn right.

    Take (cover) next to a locked door and shoot Locusts until Kim opens it.

    Head downstairs, out to the left, and revive Cole if necessary. Eliminate all remaining enemies in the room.

    Return to the hallway with the staircase and go left, leading to an overhang on the opposite side of the room.

    Go up these steps and to the left. Enter the next door.

    Go right into the hallway. Wretches, small enemies that physically assault you, will appear. The shotgun is effective against them.

Tips
  • On Insane difficulty, the Part 9 section doesn't require a unique strategy beyond the normal walkthrough.
  • If Locusts take (cover) behind hallway windows, it's often easier to dismount the turret and engage them directly.
  • The wall you take (cover) behind after entering the rightmost door should be efficient, but be prepared to move if necessary.
  • When facing the doors where enemies appear, prioritize eliminating the enemy from the middle door before the one from the rightmost door.
  • In the final shootout, consider staying farther back than usual.
  • The shotgun is very useful against Wretches.
