Gears of War 4 Part 24 walkthrough: Learn how to handle the Troika, find the Torque Bow, and conserve ammo on Insane.
Walkthrough
- 1After a Wretch appears, head through the door it came from.
- 2Continue down the hallway and through the next door. You can find a Lancer and ammo here if needed.
- 3Outside, near the Seeder, there are grenades.
- 4Follow the Theron Guard you see in the distance.
- 5When you see a closed gate to your left, go right and take cover behind a diagonal low wall.
- 6Snipe all enemies you can until a Boomer appears. Take it out with the Longshot if other enemies remain.
- 7Use your shotgun to finish off any remaining enemies and pick up ammo.
- 8Head right, then left. A dresser can be destroyed to reveal a Torque Bow.
- 9Continue left, then right, following the path to an archway and a checkpoint (an auto-save point you restart from on death).
- 10Take cover beside the stairs and begin sniping. An ammo box is behind you if needed. Be cautious of Theron Guards on Insane difficulty.
- 11Once all enemies are dead, head down to the middle area.
- 12From the entrance, a doorway to your left can be kicked open for an ammo box.
- 13Head across from the entrance to find stairs. Go up them and take cover behind the large building.
- 14Snipe all enemies from this position.
- 15Move up to the tombstones and snipe all remaining Locust.
- 16Head up the stairs to exit the area.
- 17As you enter the new area, turn right to find a Torque Bow. Equip it, replacing a less essential weapon.
- 18Take cover behind a small garden box and shoot the Troika.
- 19Switch back to your Longshot (or preferred weapon).
- 20Move slowly past the gates, sniping enemies and shot-gunning those who get close.
- 21Head up the stairs and clear any enemies.
- 22Go down the other set of stairs (not the ones you just ascended).
- 23Shotgun the enemy manning the Troika. You can approach from behind for an easier kill.
- 24When a Theron Guard blows open a gate, enter and take cover immediately.
- 25Use the Longshot to take out the Theron Guard unless it gets close.
- 26Pick up the ammo box and proceed to the end of the area.
- 27Kick open the gate.
- 28In the next area, stay low and snipe, gradually moving upwards.
- 29After the first Locusts and a Theron Guard, move up and shotgun the Boomer.
- 30For a riskier approach, run and gun the Theron Guards with your shotgun. For a safer approach, stay back and snipe, ensuring you are out of range of Torque Bows.
- 31When you reach the top, a cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically) will play. After it, enter the house.
- 32Inside, head towards the stairs but do not go up them. Go left and locate the Locust hole.
- 33Plug the hole, then return and go up the stairs.
- 34Locust will appear on the opposite side of your approach. Take them on the left side.
- 35Enter the small room on your left, positioning yourself just inside until you hear Locusts.
- 36Head to the left side of the manor where Locusts appear and use a run-and-gun approach with your shotgun. Alternatively, stay back and snipe.
- 37Once all enemies are dead, head downstairs and take cover behind the dresser on the right.
- 38Wait for Locusts to break down the door and shotgun them. If you have a Lancer, wait by the door with your chainsaw revved.
- 39Proceed through the door and down the hallway.
- 40Take cover beside the door and snipe until the Locust hole at the end of the room closes.
- 41After the hole closes, wait for a door to burst open with Locusts. Take them out.
- 42Move through the door they opened.
- 43Head to the end of the hallway and turn right.
- 44Chainsaw (or shotgun/grenade) the lone desk to find Cog Tags (CT27).
- 45Go up the small stairs and down the hallway.
- 46Go through the door at the end and twist the valve.
- 47Head down the stairs. You can blast wooden boards over one door on your way down to find four grenades if needed.
- 48Kill the two Locusts at the bottom of the stairs.
- 49Burst open the door and head right or left. A Longshot is available over the low wall on either side if needed.
- 50When you reach the end, go down the stairs on the left.
- 51The farthest wine shelf on the north wall is a hidden door. Open it.
- 52Open the door inside to trigger a sequence where Jack must rip it open.
Tips
- On Insane difficulty, ammo for the Longshot is scarce. Conserve ammo boxes and use them only when necessary to maximize their utility.
- The area before the HoD's satellites go offline can be challenging on Insane. Stay in cover, be cautious, and try not to get frustrated. Boomers should not be a major issue if you play intelligently.
- If you are struggling with the part where Locusts burst through the door in the Main Hall on Insane, try staying far back and sniping.
- The part with the Longshot after the Main Hall door incident is easier. The two Locusts at the bottom of the stairs can be dealt with by randomly shot-gunning into the room.
- When dealing with the Troika, use cover and snipe enemies before approaching it.
- For the Locust hole that appears inside the house, use your shotgun for a run-and-gun approach.
