Follow JD Fenix, Kait Diaz, and Del Walker in Part 16 of our Gears of War 4 walkthrough as they face the Swarm and seek out Marcus Fenix.

Part 16: The Swarm Attacks

Alright, so you've just managed to snag that fabricator from the COG settlement, and things are already getting complicated. Jinn is not happy, and now your village is under attack by some seriously creepy creatures. Let's get through this.

The Village Under Siege

As night falls, Kait spots some strange creatures – they're called Snatchers. Before you know it, chaos erupts and these things start snatching villagers. Reyna, Kait's mom and the village leader, tries to hold them off, even taking on a Scion and slicing off its hand. Oscar Diaz tries to help, but they both get taken down.

By the time you, JD, and Del get out, everyone's gone. Del mentions how many of these creatures there are, calling them a Swarm. You'll find a severed hand from one of the creatures – grab the crystal from it. Del's got a plan: you need to take that crystal to someone who knows what's going on, and that someone is JD's dad, Marcus Fenix.

This is a rough spot, for sure. You've got a whole village to rescue, and you're heading into the unknown to find Marcus. Stick together, and let's go find him.
