Walkthrough
- 1Tower of Light: Equip your best gear and consider Fire protection. Enemies include Warrior Monks (flamethrower/rifle), YKT-63, and YAT-99. YKT-63 and YAT-99 are weak to Fire and Water, resistant to magic. Killing YKT-63 last will cause it to Eject a character each turn. Warrior Monks can be Stealed from for Purifying Salts (Rare). Kimahri can learn Thrust Kick (Ronso Rage) from YKT-63.
- 2Fight 1: Two Warrior Monks (rifle), one Warrior Monk (flamethrower). Kill flamethrower first.
- 3Fight 2: YKT-63 flanked by two Warrior Monks (flamethrower). Do not leave YKT-63 for last.
- 4Fight 3: Two Warrior Monks (rifle), one Warrior Monk (flamethrower).
- 5Fight 4: Two Warrior Monks (flamethrower), YAT-99.
- 6Fight 5: Two Warrior Monks (rifle), YAT-99. Kill Warrior Monks first to melee the mech.
- 7Bevelle Temple - Priests' Passage: You can run down or use the forbidden machina (escalator device) to reach the bottom. After a scene, pick up Al Bhed Primer XXII on the floor. This is a missable Key Item; you cannot return after starting the Cloister of Trials. Use the Save Sphere.
- 8Bevelle Temple - Cloister of Trials:
- 9Run down the slope and push the pedestal to begin. The Cloister uses a moving platform on a track.
- 10Take the Bevelle Sphere from the holder on the upper level and ride the platform back.
- 11Use the first glyph to go right. Place the Bevelle Sphere in the slot to open the path below.
- 12Return to the same glyph and go left. Take the Bevelle Sphere from here and store it in the other slot on the pedestal.
- 13Return to the first glyph and ride it down to the middle level.
- 14On the middle level, go left. Use the final glyph that stops you (third overall) to go right. Place a Bevelle Sphere in the recess to spawn a walkway.
- 15Return to the track and take the second right (third overall). Grab the Glyph Sphere.
- 16Return to the track. Stop at the next (final) glyph's right turn. Insert the Glyph Sphere into the recess at the end of the walkway. At the accessible end, find the Destruction Sphere.
- 17Get back on the track and take the second (third overall) right. Place the Destruction Sphere in the space here.
- 18Return to the track and take the final right. Pick up the Bevelle Sphere.
- 19Take the first (second overall) right on this level. At the small platform, push the pedestal to the other side.
- 20Run up the stairs and place the Bevelle Sphere into the recess to activate a track. As you approach the chest, you'll automatically receive an HP Sphere.
- 21Step on the shining tile to move the pedestal to the upper level. If you stored an extra Bevelle Sphere, push the pedestal left to reach another chest containing the Knight Lance (Strength +3%, Strength +5%, Strength +10%).

- Equip Fire protection for the Tower of Light.
- Steal Purifying Salts from Warrior Monks if you need Dispel.
- Kimahri can learn Thrust Kick from YKT-63.
