Complete Fallout 76 The Rundown walkthrough. Learn how to get a Biometric ID Card, repair Mainframe Cores, and launch a nuke.
Walkthrough
- 1Event 1: Find a way past laser grids by acquiring a Biometric ID Card. To create one, find an old card, erase it, acquire your biometric data, create your own card, and register it using a Terminal. Proceed forward.
- 2Event 2: Equip a Hazmat Suit. Hack a Terminal to disable the Supervisor and turrets. Use a Terminal to turn on Decontamination Arches. Locate all broken pipes, unless you have high Picklock and Hacker skills. If so, pick the lock on the door in the center of the Reactor Area and use the Security Command Terminal to override the lockdown, skipping pipe repair. Shut down the reactor for repairs. Quickly repair the pipes. Restart the reactor.
- 3Event 3: Use a Terminal to disable the Supervisor and turrets. Use explosives to destroy console panels and Mainframe Cores.
- 4Event 4: Pick the lock of the side office door. Access the Terminal inside to disable the Supervisor and turrets. Clear the room. Find a Terminal and use it to open the door back to the entrance. Locate, but do not interact with, 15 damaged Mainframe Cores. Using a Tinker's Workbench, repair all 15 Mainframe Cores. Install the repaired Mainframe Cores.
- 5Event 5: Use a Terminal to disable the Supervisor and turrets. Clear the Control Room. Defend the Section Chiefs as they initiate Launch Prep, ensuring the Launch Control Chief on the upper level is protected. If a Section Chief is destroyed, use a Terminal at the Fabrication Pod to replace it, but ensure you can leave to avoid being caught in the fight. Complete Launch Prep. When Launch Prep completes, insert your Nuclear Keycard into the activated Launch Control Console. Carefully enter the Nuclear Missile Launch Code and choose your target location.
Tips
- Loot along the way; there isn't much story content to miss.
- Consider targeting Ground Zero for one of your Trophies/Achievements.
- If a Section Chief is destroyed, you can replace it using a Terminal at the Fabrication Pod, but be ready to leave immediately after.
