A Note on Quests

Fallout 76 is packed with Quests, and Bethesda keeps adding more all the time! Understanding how they're organized can really help you navigate the wasteland and make sure you don't miss out on any of the action.

The Quests are generally divided into seven main categories:

1. The Main Story: These are the core narrative quests that drive the overarching plot of Fallout 76. There are 27 of these.
2. Side Quests: These offer additional stories and challenges outside the main plot. You'll find 12 of these.
3. Event Quests: These are time-limited or repeatable public events that pop up around the map. There are 37 of these.
4. Mistress of Mystery: A specific questline with its own unique story and rewards. There are 8 quests in this line.
5. Player VS Player: Quests that involve direct conflict with other players. There are 3 of these.
6. Repeatable Quests: These are designed to be played multiple times for rewards. You'll find 22 of these.
7. Miscellaneous Quests: This is a catch-all category for smaller tasks and discoveries, and it's the one that grows the most. There are 40+ of these, and Bethesda is always adding more.

This guide dives deep into categories 1 through 6, covering a total of 109 quests. We'll also tackle many of the Miscellaneous Quests, though their exact number is always a bit of a mystery – even the official guide doesn't list them all!

The cool thing about these Misc Quests is that they're often super simple. You might just need to find an item that's right around the corner or even in the same room. If you get the hang of the game and learn to follow your Quest Marker, you'll be well-equipped to handle whatever the wasteland throws at you.
