Crescent Reach: The First Steps

Begin your EverQuest journey in Crescent Reach. Follow Grand Historian Rygor's quests to defeat Young Forest Spiders and gain essential early gear.

Upon spawning in Crescent Reach, immediately seek out Grand Historian Rygor. He offers a series of introductory quests that will guide you through the basics. Your first task will likely be 'A Simple Task', requiring you to kill a few Young Forest Spiders just outside the city walls. Return to Rygor for your reward and the next quest. As you progress, you'll be directed to other NPCs like Acolyte Xylok for combat training and Merchant Taliyah for trade skills. These quests will reward you with basic armor, weapons, and small amounts of platinum, essential for your early survival. Focus on completing these quests to reach level 5-7 before venturing further from the city.
