Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered Part 57 covers He Fei Castle, Nanman Forces, and new items like Bronze Flask and Scroll of Accuracy.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Immediately grab a horse and proceed to the top of the map to rescue Diao Chan from a brawl.
  2. 2
Be aware of arrow and wind traps similar to the original He Fei Castle stage.
  3. 3
Watch out for Sun Shang Xiang near the top; she can be a difficult opponent.
  4. 4
Upon reaching Diao Chan, a (cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically)) will trigger, improving her morale.
  5. 5
After saving Diao Chan, eliminate the remaining enemy generals.
  6. 6
If Sun Ce is not defeated quickly, the east and west gates will open, releasing Lu Meng and Gan Ning, which can complicate the fight.
  7. 7
Once other subordinates are defeated, Sun Ce will move. Engage him in the center square, where archers will appear, making the final battle challenging.
  8. 8
Sun Ce himself is not overly dangerous but has good stamina. If you've reached this point, defeating him should be manageable.
Tips
  • If you don’t kill Sun Ce fast enough, the east and west gates will open, bringing Lu Meng and Gan Ning into the fray, which could make this fight ugly though.
  • Beware though, you have to engage him in the center square, and as you know from my original He Fei Castle walkthrough, going here brings about a bunch of archers, which will make the final battle interesting to say the least.

Walkthrough:

Nanman Forces – Zhu Rong

  1. In this battle, you will face previously defeated female enemies and their male counterparts.
  2. The leaders are Lu Bu and Diao Chan.
  3. The duos you will face are Zhou Yu/Xiao Qiao, Cao Pi/Zhen Ji, and Lu Bu/Diao Chan.
  4. Defeating one character in a pair lowers the other's morale.
  5. If you defeat all five other enemies yourself before fighting Lu Bu, there will be dialogue between Zhu Rong and Meng Huo about their strength. This is a requirement for obtaining Zhu Rong’s fifth weapon.
  6. Ultimately, you will face Lu Bu in the final showdown.

Nanman Forces – Meng Huo

  1. Your objective is to defeat Zhuge Liang and Cao Cao.
  2. As you pass through the initial gates, they will close, trapping you, and reinforcements will attack from behind.
  3. Deal with the enemies in front of you, then proceed to the main castle area.
  4. Clear the surrounding enemies, then confront Zhuge Liang, being mindful of archers that appear in the center court.
  5. After defeating Zhuge Liang, advance to take down Cao Cao.
Tips
  • Defeating one of the characters in a couple will lower the other one’s morale.
  • If you defeat all 5 of the other enemies yourself, before fighting Lu Bu, there will be some banter between Zhu Rong and Meng Huo, about how no other couple is stronger than them (this is a requirement for getting Zhu Rong’s 5th weapon btw).
  • Watch out for the archers that pop up in the center court when fighting Zhuge Liang.

Walkthrough:

Battle at Wu Zhang Plains II – Yuan Shao’s Forces vs Wei Forces OR Dong Zhuo’s Forces vs Shu Forces

Played By: Yuan Shao, Dong Zhuo

Yuan Shao’s Side

  1. This is a large skirmish against Cao Cao’s forces.
  2. Enemies are tough, but there are no major special events.
  3. If the troop in the upper right is kept alive long enough, they will bombard Cao Cao’s unit with rocks, weakening them.
  4. Killing Xiahou Yuan, standing before the fort entrance, will open the fort for reinforcements.

Dong Zhuo’s Side

  1. Head north and deal with Pang Tong to stop catapults.
  2. Defeat all enemies in your path, watching for reinforcements.
  3. Finish off Liu Bei.

Wu Navy Skirmish – Nanman Forces vs Wu Forces

Played By: Zhu Rong

  1. This stage is identical in layout to the original attack on the high seas stage.
  2. It is a brawl against the entire Wu army.
  3. There is no real strategy other than to defeat everyone in your path.
  4. The Wu army will receive reinforcements, but they are not a major concern.
  5. Xiao Qiao and Zhou Yu are the bosses, located on opposite sides of the map.
  6. Be careful fighting Xiao Qiao, as she can be a tough opponent if you let your guard down.
Tips
  • If you keep the troop in the upper right alive long enough, they will bombard Cao Cao’s unit with rocks, weakening them.
  • Killing Xiahou Yuan, who is standing in front of the fort entrance (where Zhuge Liang was in the original) will open that fort so that your side can get some reinforcements.
  • Deal with Pang Tong, which will stop the catapults he’s firing.
  • Take out everyone in your path.
  • Xiao Qiao can give you a tough fight if you let your guard down, so be careful.

NEW ITEMS DATABASE

Bronze Flask

  • Effect: Increases Charge (power of charge attacks).
  • Value: Not yet fully tested, potential for significant impact.
  • Method: Normal item dropped by officers or boxes.

Mountain Pouch

  • Effect: Increases the effect of Meat Buns.
  • Value: Limited utility unless constantly low on energy.
  • Method: Normal item dropped by officers or boxes.

Mountain Quiver

  • Effect: Increases the number of arrows you start with in a stage.
  • Value: Niche, useful for characters like Huang Zhong; arrows are generally findable.
  • Method: Normal item dropped by officers or boxes.

Beast Harness

  • Effect: Displays the position of the last animal you rode during the stage.
  • Value: Low utility, as horses are plentiful; useful for preserving Red Hare or Hex Mark.
  • Method: Clear the record score on Speed Demon Mode (1 minute and 30 seconds).

Scroll of Accuracy

  • Effect: After being knocked down, your attack strength doubles for 10 seconds, while defense decreases.
  • Value: Very useful for inflicting significant damage after recovering from a knockdown. Equipping the tortoise amulet can mitigate the defense drop.
  • Method: Mt. Ding Jun Stage, Dong Zhuo’s Side. Defeat Huang Zhong; he will drop a red item bag containing the item.

Imperial Harness

  • Effect: Increases horse’s strength (ability to knock people down).
  • Value: Potentially good at low levels with weaker horses.
  • Method: You Ting stage, Nanman side. Keep Meng Jie alive, defeat both Sun Shang Xiang and Ga [text cut off].
Tips
  • The value of the Mountain Quiver is questionable unless you are playing as a character who uses many arrows, like Huang Zhong.
  • The Beast Harness is not very useful, since horses are usually plentiful. Only time you might want to use it is if you have Red Hare or Hex Mark, and you don’t want to lose them.
  • The Scroll of Accuracy is quite useful. After you get knocked down, you can get back up and inflict some major damage, to a group of foes, or to a general. Equipping the tortoise amulet will help negate the hit you take in defense, which isn’t that major, unless you really start taking some big hits.
  • The Imperial Harness might be good at low levels, when all you can ride is the crappy horses.
