The Fifth Trainee

Piccolo needs your help to find Yajirobe! Follow this guide to track him down in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, complete the substory, and claim your rewards.

So, you're trying to wrap up some side stories, huh? "The Fifth Trainee" is one of those that pops up after you've made some serious progress in the main story, specifically after you've dealt with Tien, Yamcha, and Krillin during the 'Survival 101' part of the Saiyan Saga. Once you've checked in on Gohan, this little quest will unlock.

Basically, Piccolo thinks Yajirobe is going to challenge him, but Yajirobe's being a bit of a coward. To keep things from getting awkward (or to avoid a surprise attack, depending on how you look at it), Piccolo asks you to go hunt in Yajirobe's place. Your mission? Catch six deer. They're chilling just north of where you start, so they shouldn't be too hard to find.

After you've done your deer-hunting duty and head back to the campfire, you'll find that Yajirobe has vanished. Typical Yajirobe, right? Now you've got to track him down by searching for his Ki. A new circle will pop up on your map, and you'll need to search within that area. Keep an eye out for a Katchin Door – it's a pretty distinctive landmark. Once you find it, face it, then peek around the nearby rock wall. You should spot Yajirobe hiding there.

Approach him, and you'll trigger a scene that wraps up this substory. Easy peasy!
