Alright, let's dive into the 'The Nutty Scientist' Substory in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. This one pops up during Intermission 3, and you'll be playing as Gohan for it. Make sure you're ready to head over to the East Ravine Area to kick things off.

When you get there, you'll find Bulma's dad totally engrossed in his work. Bulma's a bit worried, so she'll ask you to help him out by gathering some materials. He needs three specific items: a Hard Dragolyte, a Large Dorgalyte, and a Bulky Dogmalyte. Yeah, they sound pretty similar, and there's a reason for that – it's part of the challenge!

Your first step is to fly to the location marked on your map. It's usually an elevated spot near a waterfall. Once you arrive, look for an NPC. Chatting with them is key because they'll give you the general area where you can find each of the items you need. Don't worry about picking the wrong thing just yet; the game makes it pretty clear where to look next.

Here's the catch: In each designated area, you'll find a bunch of purple orbs scattered around. Most of these are decoys, but one of them holds the actual item you're looking for. The good news? There's no penalty for grabbing the wrong ones. So, feel free to just pick up everything you see in an area until you find the correct material. Once you snag the right item, you'll move on to the next area to repeat the process. Keep this up until you've collected all three materials.

After you've successfully gathered the Hard Dragolyte, Large Dorgalyte, and Bulky Dogmalyte, you'll automatically be whisked back to Briefs. Hand over the goods, and you'll wrap up this Substory!
