Master Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot's roadmap! Learn how to tackle main story, substories, villainous enemies, and collectibles for all trophies and achievements.

Alright, so you're diving into Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot and want to snag all those sweet trophies and achievements? No sweat, I've got your back. This roadmap breaks down exactly how to approach the game to make sure you don't miss a thing. Think of it as your personal guide to becoming a completionist in the world of DBZ!

Step 1: Play Through the Main Story

Your absolute top priority here is to just play through the main story. Seriously, just enjoy the ride! But while you're doing that, keep a couple of things in mind to make your life way easier later on. First off, try to knock out as many Substories as you can while you're progressing. Not only do you get awesome ingredients and healing items, but you'll also level up your characters. You only need to complete 10 Substories for the Do-Gooder trophy, so don't feel like you have to do every single one. The big reason to do them as you go is that most Substories are missable. They usually only pop up for a short window, so grab 'em while you can!

Another thing to keep an eye out for is Instant Victories. You need 50 of these for the Can’t Touch This trophy. Sometimes, especially during the main story, you'll run into random enemies that are way weaker than you – like, at least 5 levels lower. If you notice this, you can use the boost while flying to just ram into them and get an instant win without even fighting. This is super important to do during the main story because after you finish it, most random encounters will scale up to your level, making it way harder to get those instant wins.

While you're zipping around between main story missions, also keep an ear out for NPCs talking about "recipes." These aren't for cooking food in the game, but for full-course meals. You need to make five different ones for another trophy. Once you hit Intermission 2 in the story, you'll unlock the Dragon Balls. You'll need to summon Shenron a total of 10 times for a trophy, so start working on this during the main story. Just remember, you have to wait 20 minutes between each summon, so don't put it off!

Oh, and one last thing for this step – it's not crucial for any specific trophy, but it's good practice: check in with Master Roshi now and then. He's got those Turtle School training challenges for you to complete.

Step 2: Villainous Enemies

You could totally tackle these during the main story, but honestly, it doesn't matter too much if you don't. Nothing really changes in the game world after you beat the main story, so you can come back to this whenever. These are the Villainous Enemies – they're tougher than your average baddies and pop up in certain areas as you progress. Once you clear out a group of them in a region, some even stronger ones will appear. Beat those, and then a final, super-tough Villainous Enemy shows up. Defeat that one, and you're done with that region's Villainous Enemies. You only need to defeat 30 of them for a trophy, but you actually have to beat all of them in a region to make the super-tough one appear, and doing so is required to eventually spawn Mira.

Step 3: Cleaning Up

This is it – the final stretch for that platinum trophy or all those shiny achievements! This is where you wrap up anything you missed. This includes summoning Shenron the remaining times you need (if you didn't hit 10 during the story), tackling the Training Grounds, messing around with the training room in Capsule Corp, and a bunch of other miscellaneous trophies. Basically, if it's not tied to the main story or Substories, it's probably in this cleanup phase.
