Complete walkthrough for Part 9 of Donkey Kong Country Returns, including all puzzle pieces, KONG letters, and bonus areas. Master the KING OF CLING and TREE TOP BOP levels.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
KING OF CLING: Start by moving right. Jump onto the stone block to reach a platform above, then roll-jump or hover right to collect the K.
  2. 2
Immediately after grabbing the K, jump past it to reveal a hidden puzzle piece behind a disappearing wall on the right.
  3. 3
Continue right to the first circular climbing surface. Jump to the platforms on the left, then jump through the left wall to find another puzzle piece.
  4. 4
Just right of the circular climbing surface, jump through the wall to the right of a platform over spikes to find a puzzle piece.
  5. 5
A bit further, after a gigantic chomp, a tutorial will show you the team roll. Ground-pound in front of the yellow bulb between the two bridges to reveal a barrel cannon. Use it to go into the background and collect the O at the top of the climbable surfaces.
  6. 6
After getting the O, climb up either side of your current surface to reach a blast barrel leading to a bonus area. Collect all spinning items on the moving, bouncy platform before the timer runs out to get a puzzle piece. Exit the bonus area via the barrel cannon on the right.
  7. 7
Ahead, there's a climbing section with a giant chomp. Ground-pound in front of the yellow bulb directly above it to release a puzzle piece.
  8. 8
Checkpoint. In the next section, climb the narrow shaft. About halfway up, enter the cut-in on the right and walk through the right wall to find a puzzle piece.
  9. 9
At the top of the narrow passageway, reach the moving circular climbing surfaces. Climb to the bottom of the right wall to find the N.
  10. 10
After climbing up the left wall, jump over the bouncy flower platform and run through the right wall to find a puzzle piece.
  11. 11
Continue up a narrow shaft, dodging chomps, until you reach bouncy flower platforms. Head to the right-most one while avoiding tiki zings to get the second G.
  12. 12
TREE TOP BOP: Start right and follow the lower path until you see the first barrel cannon. Roll-jump or hover off the right side of the platform to reach a hidden platform with a puzzle piece.
  13. 13
Enter the first barrel cannon. Intentionally miss the next barrel cannon to find the K.
  14. 14
Continue the stage normally until you see the O hovering above a stone block. Jump off either side of the platform to grab it.
  15. 15
Checkpoint. Just after the checkpoint, ground-pound the stone panel on the ground, then ground-pound the Rambi crate to release Rambi. Use Rambi to break through obstacles.
Tips
  • Before jumping into the exit barrel, ensure you are completely done with the current area, as it's a point of no return.
  • When collecting items in a bonus area barrel cannon, you can make small left and right adjustments after firing. Ensure you land back in the barrel to avoid being removed.
  • In the KING OF CLING level, you will NOT receive an extra life for spelling KONG; instead, you get a star medal.
  • In the KING OF CLING level, do NOT use the bouncy flower platforms in the area before the exit barrel. Continue right of the exit barrel, behind the stone pillar, which will move to reveal a puzzle piece.
  • In the KING OF CLING level, you can duck on the moving platform to avoid the chomp.
  • In the TREE TOP BOP level, after using the barrel cannon with a skull, you will reach an area with spikes. Remember the area under the spikes for later.
  • KING OF CLING: 7 Puzzle Pieces, KONG letters (K, G, O, N, G)
  • TREE TOP BOP: 5 Puzzle Pieces, KONG letters (K, O, N, G)
