4-4 MOLE PATROL
- Target Times: Shiny 01:30.00 / Gold 01:31.00 / Silver 01:33.00 / Bronze 01:39.00
- Start in the rocket barrel within 3.5 seconds for gold.
- Avoid mole miners; they offer no reward in time attack.

4-5 CROWDED CAVERN
- Target Times: Shiny 01:55.00 / Gold 01:56.00 / Silver 02:05.00 / Bronze 02:16.00
- At the start, jump to the wooden platform, let it break, then roll-jump to the rocket barrel. Blast off within 10 seconds for gold.
- Aim for where blue squeeklies start.
- After the second checkpoint, continuously move to avoid the giant squeekly's sonic attacks.
- To dodge the gigantic laser, move to the very top of the screen. The exit barrel appears shortly after.

4-B THE MOLE TRAIN
- Target Times: Shiny 01:37.00 / Gold 01:47.00 / Silver 02:15.00 / Bronze 02:44.00
- Grab the DK barrel before the arena.
- Immediately roll-jump and hover to the other carts. Repeat this maneuver as each train falls off.
- Mole Miner Max takes about 20 seconds to defeat; clear each train in ~35 seconds for gold.

4-K JAGGED JEWELS
- Target Times: Shiny 00:47.00 / Gold 01:10.00 / Silver 01:30.00 / Bronze 01:50.00
- The gold target is lenient, but the shiny target is very difficult.
- Get the DK barrel on the right, roll-jump right, and roll under the first pillar.
- Jump to the second platform, then to the round platform. Roll under the next two pillars.
- Jump off the tiki goon onto the round platform below, avoiding the buzzbite. Skip the middle round platform.
- Roll under the next set of pillars (taking damage saves time).
- Jump and hover to the round platform with a buzzbite, then to the long hanging platform.
- Traverse platforms, avoiding traps, spikes, and rolling over the next set of spikes.
- When spears retract, jump through to the next hanging platform before they rise. Roll-jump through the next set of spears.
- Quickly cross the hanging platform to the small platform before the next spear. Wait for it to retract, then jump across the hanging platform.
- At the platform with a vase, use any remaining hits to dive through the difficult section. Jump into the barrel cannon to reach the exit barrel.
