SM05: Samizdat (Palisade Property Bank)

In the security room, wait for the guard to walk west, then knock him out. Toggle an EG Switch on the western wall. Hack the security computer (password: “klmvp9951”) (Security Rating: 2) and turn off security. Loot the guard for a Pocket Secretary with the computer password. Search drawers for Reveal Software, Stun Gun Ammo, and Crafting Parts. Grab the Pocket Secretary on the southern table for Daniel Janecek’s employee ID code.

Leave the vent and head north-east to a structural weakness leading to a boardroom. Grab the Pocket Secretary on the table, then retreat. Continue south to the passage end, turn east, and crawl through a vent to the elevator shaft. Ignore the elevator and ladder. Continue east into another vent leading to a maintenance area. Turn north to a vent leading to Daniel Janecek’s office.

Use Daniel Janecek’s computer, select the messenger service, and contact security. Choose “new technician”, then “yes” or “I did”. Enter your code “ID 4489” (obtained from the Pocket Secretary in the security room).

Return to the lobby via maintenance tunnels and head north-east to Tomas Romanek’s office. Use the Keypad (CODE: 0831) (Security Rating: 1) to enter. Use Ghost-Shield Cloaking to turn invisible before entering, as nearby civilians will react if they see you. Grab the “Palisade Elevator Keycard” from the desk and a Pocket Secretary from the southern table. Loot drawers for two Credit Chips and Painkillers.

To reach the third floor, go down the south hallway and ride the elevator. Alternatively, return to the maintenance tunnels, go to the elevator shaft, and remote hack devices to lower the elevator. From the lowered elevator, jump south to a metal walkway, turn east, and climb through a vent to a maintenance tunnel. Elevator riders can exit the elevator (avoiding guards in the west security room) and crawl into a vent along the floor to the east, blocked by cardboard boxes.

To find extra loot, head east to a vent. Move a photocopier and dispatch the Civilian. Head to the northern end of the room and use an EG Switch to stop guards outside from noticing you. Loot the room for another “Palisade Elevator Keycard”, Credit Chips, Stealth Software, a Biocell, Stem Processor Chips, Crafting Parts, a Gyroscopic Regulator, Datascan Software, a Multi-Tool, Reveal Software, and Hydraulic Micropumps. You can also hack the computer (Security Rating: 3).

Go to the elevator and turn west to the CEO Offices door. Wait north of the door until the two guards finish talking. One guard will sit facing west, the other will stand by the door. Open the door but stay out of the doorway. Wait for the guard to become suspicious, then turn west. Enter the room and shoot him with your Stun Gun. Press the EG Switch near the door. Sneak north and shoot the sitting guard with your Stun Gun. Hack the computer on the desk (Security Rating: 1) if desired. Grab Stop! Worm Software from the desk drawers and a Pocket Secretary from the lower shelf. Disable the Alarm Panel on the wall (Security Rating: 1).
