Think of weapons less like traditional guns and more like the specialized tools you'll need to get the job done, whether that's delivering a package or just surviving the chaos. This guide is all about making sure you're equipped for anything the game throws at you.

Gadgets: Your Primary Tools

• Acquiring Gadgets: You'll get some essential gadgets, like the crane, winch, and armor plating, just by playing through the main story. Keep an eye out for side-missions marked with green question marks on your map – completing these often rewards you with blueprints for new gadgets. You can also buy blueprints at shops (marked with dollar signs on the map).
• Developing Gadgets: Once you have a blueprint and the necessary parts (found in red chests or bought from shops), head back to your apartment, trailer, or hideout. Interact with your desk to develop the new gadget.
• Equipping Gadgets: You can equip one delivery gadget and one auxiliary gadget at a time. Open your journal, go to the Inventory tab, and select your loadout. Delivery gadgets (like the crane) are usually activated with Square/X, while auxiliary gadgets (like Time Control) use Circle/B.

Specific Gadget Uses (from missions):

• Crane: Essential for loading and unloading large items like the giant fish in 'Fishing for Love' or the statue in 'A Five Ton Bird Perch'. You'll typically use it by aiming and then activating it (Square/X).
• Winch: Used for pulling or lifting heavy objects. In 'A Delicate Machine,' you'll use it to load a seismic machine onto your truck by attaching it to a hook, then reeling it in. For 'A Five Ton Bird Perch,' you'll use it to drag a statue to a new location.
• Melon Sprayer: In 'Aways Refreshing,' this machine is used to spray down the melons after they've been sucked up and spat out, presumably to preserve them or deal with their smell.
• Balloon Machine: Used in 'Up, Up and Astray' for delivering balloons across the map.

Survival Tips & Other Tools:

• Vehicle Repair: If your truck gets damaged, engine issues often fix themselves over time if you avoid further damage. For damaged wheels, you'll need to get out and interact with the specific wheel to repair it.
• Respawning Your Vehicle: Lost or destroyed your truck? Find a phone box (marked with an orange square on the map), interact with it, and a new vehicle will spawn nearby.
• Escaping Police: If you get a wanted level, find a dumpster and interact with it to hide. The police will eventually call off their search.
• Money Making: Besides mission rewards, you can earn extra cash by destroying crates marked with yellow 'X's. Hit them with your vehicle or kick them if you're on foot.
