Armor: Your Last Line of Defense

Hey there! So, you're diving into Deliver At All Costs and wondering about keeping your ride (and yourself) in one piece? Let's talk about armor and defense – it's your last line of defense out there, and it's pretty important!

As you play through the game, you'll find that certain gadgets can be equipped to your truck to help you out. Some of these are super useful for keeping your vehicle from falling apart. Things like armour plating are obtained just by playing through the game, which is awesome. Others, like the fancy hell horn, you'll need to develop yourself.

To get your hands on these upgrades, you'll usually need blueprints. You can snag these by completing side-missions, which are marked with those bright green question marks on your map. Alternatively, you can just buy them at the shops – look for the dollar signs on the map. Once you have a blueprint, you'll need to head back to your apartment, trailer, or hideout (depending on how far you are in the game) and interact with your desk. You'll also need parts to develop these gadgets, which you can also buy at shops or find by looting red chests scattered throughout the world.

Now, developing a gadget is one thing, but you need to actually equip it to use it! Some missions will automatically equip gadgets if they're needed for that specific job. But when you're just cruising around or between missions, you're free to customize your truck. To do this, just open up your journal and go to the Inventory tab. You can equip one 'delivery gadget' and one 'auxiliary gadget'. Gadgets like the crane are used by pressing or holding the Square/X button, while auxiliary gadgets like 'Time Control' are activated with Circle/B. So, make sure you've got that armor plating equipped if you're expecting trouble!
