Let's break 'em down so you know what you're getting into before you even hit that Mission Selection Terminal on the Space Rig. When you're at the terminal, you'll pick a Planetary Region first, and then the specific mission type. Sometimes, the regions might be temporarily unavailable while the missions refresh, so keep an eye on that. Every mission you complete earns you Credits and Experience Points. Plus, any Crafting Materials you find will be yours to spend on Equipment Upgrades and cool Vanity items back at the Space Rig. Don't sweat it too much if a mission goes south, though. You'll still keep 25% of your Credits, Experience, and any minerals you managed to mine. Oh, and each mission gets a unique, randomly generated name. It's made up of two parts, pulled from different word lists. Adds a bit of flavor, right? ### Mission Types There are eight main mission types you can choose from, and each one has its own set of objectives and cave layouts. You'll unlock all of them after completing the Conquer Hoxxes IV Assignment. #### Mining Expedition This is likely the first mission you'll tackle as a new Miner. Think of these as a series of connected caves, often with dirt walls separating them, leading to a 'treasure room' packed with resources at the end. Your main goal is to collect a specific quota of Morkite. You'll also have a Secondary Objective, like collecting Alien Fossils or exterminating Fester Fleas, which gives you bonus rewards. The amount of Morkite needed changes depending on the mission's length and complexity: * Small Caves, Low Complexity: Collect 200 Morkite * Medium Caves, Low Complexity: Collect 225 Morkite * Medium Caves, Medium Complexity: Collect 250 Morkite * Large Caves, High Complexity: Collect 325/400 Morkite Some of the possible Secondary Objectives you might encounter include: * Collect 10 Alien Fossils * Exterminate 10 Fester Fleas * Collect 15 Apoca Blooms * Collect 12 Gunk Seeds * Collect 20 Boolo Caps Remember, always keep an eye on your objectives and don't get too bogged down exploring if you're falling behind on the Morkite quota!
