The Sonic Siphon is a challenging Machine Event found in the echoing caverns of Hoxxes IV. Its primary mechanic involves generating and then siphoning a powerful sonic wave. The objective is to activate a central console, which then begins to charge a sonic emitter. During this charge, waves of glyphids will be attracted to the noise. The challenge is to defend the console and emitter from these attackers while the siphon completes its cycle. Failure to defend adequately can result in the siphon being overloaded and the event failing.

Strategy for Success:

• Initial Activation and Defense: Approach the central console and initiate the siphon. Immediately after activation, be prepared for incoming glyphids.
• Area Denial: The Engineer's turrets and the Gunner's minigun are excellent for establishing a defensive perimeter around the console and emitter. Place turrets in strategic locations to cover multiple approaches.
• Target Prioritization: Focus fire on high-threat enemies like Spitters and Exploders first. These can quickly overwhelm your defenses and damage the console.
