The Large Deposit (Unused 212) is a challenging but rewarding Machine Event in Deep Rock Galactic. It tests your team's ability to defend a valuable resource node while fending off relentless waves of alien bugs. Success means a significant boost to your mission's Nitra reserves.

This particular variant of the Large Deposit Machine Event often presents a more complex terrain challenge. The Nitra vein might be situated in a cavern with multiple entry points for enemies, or it could be located on a precarious ledge requiring careful traversal. The enemy composition tends to be a mix of standard Grunts and Swarmers, but with a higher probability of encountering Mactera species, such as Mactera Grunts and Mactera Spikes. These flying enemies can quickly overwhelm a static defense.

Recommended Loadouts and Team Composition:

• Gunner: A minigun with high sustained damage is excellent for clearing swarms. The Shield Generator is invaluable for protecting miners or reviving downed teammates.
• Engineer: The Breach Cutter or the PGL can deal with clustered enemies. Deployable turrets can provide crucial automated defense, especially against flying targets.
• Driller: The Flamethrower is superb for crowd control, burning through swarms. The Cryo Cannon can freeze enemies, making them easy targets for elimination.
• Scout: While less focused on direct defense, the Scout's mobility allows them to quickly reach mining spots and light up the area. Their Boomstick can be effective against close-range threats.

Tactical Approach:

1. Secure the Area: Before activating, use your traversal tools to establish defensible positions. Engineer platforms can create elevated firing positions, while Gunner ziplines can facilitate rapid redeployment.
2. Prioritize Threats: Mactera are often the biggest nuisance. Ass a dedicated player or utilize turrets to focus on them. Spitters and Exploders should also be dealt with swiftly to prevent them from damaging the team or the environment.
3. Mining Rotation: If the Nitra vein is large, consider a mining rotation. One or two miners work while the others defend, then swap. This prevents miners from being overwhelmed.
4. Utilize Terrain: If the event is in a narrow passage, it can funnel enemies, making them easier to kill. If it's in an open area, try to create choke points with terrain or deployable equipment.
