Large Deposits are visually distinct from regular mineral veins. They are typically larger, more vibrant, and often have a unique pulsating glow. When you discover one, you'll receive a notification on your HUD, indicating its presence and general location. These deposits are not just passive resource nodes; they are interactive events that require a specific action to unlock their full potential.

Types of Large Deposits and Their Mechanics

There are several types of Large Deposits, each with its own activation and challenge:

• The "Dreadnought" Deposit: This deposit is guarded by a powerful, mini-boss-like creature, often a smaller variant of a Dreadnought. You must defeat the guardian before you can mine the deposit.
• The "Refinery" Deposit: Similar to On-Site Refining, this deposit requires you to connect pipes from extractors to a central refinery. Once connected, you must defend the refinery during its processing cycle.
• The "Drilldozer" Deposit: This deposit requires you to escort a mini-Drilldozer to a specific point to excavate the minerals. You'll need to defend the Drilldozer as it moves.
