Part 9

Head towards the “Explore” option but continue past it to a well-defended intersection with Cell personnel and an APC.

Turn right at the intersection and go past the yellow cargo container on the flatbed trailer.

On the right side of the avenue, find the traffic camera on the light post above the 25 MPH sign. Run past it to get the “Speeding Ticket.”

To reach the crash site, you have two stealth options: “Flank” or “Explore.” The “Flank” option is recommended.

Activate your cloak and jump down to the roof below. Open the visor (your Heads-Up Display) and survey the area, noting the Cell presence and an APC gunner.

Survey the “Explore” option route, which goes southeast along a patrolled avenue to a ramp leading to an underground parking structure.

Pan to the “Flank” option and zoom in to see an open manhole into the storm sewer. Pan to “Ascend” to see an orange scaffold providing roof access.

With “Flank” selected, close the visor and jump back to the stairwell’s landing.

Go down the stairwells to ground level, cloaking as you pass the windows.

If no hostiles are ahead, cloak, turn left, go to the edge of the hedge, cross the avenue, and jump down into the storm sewer.

Continue to the end of the sewer, cloaking under service grates to avoid detection.

At the end of the sewer, restock your grenades and find the silenced Feline sub-machine gun, an alternative to the Scarab.

Cloak, jump to ground level, check your surroundings, and get behind a nearby container to fully recharge your suit's energy.

Use Nanovision (a special visor mode) to identify threats ahead, beyond the yellow car, where the orange scaffold at the “Ascend” option is located. This is the safest route to the crash site.

Fully recharge, walk toward the scaffold, jump to the staging, and then to the roof.

Have your silenced weapon ready for potential hostiles on the rooftop. Crouch near the ductwork to recharge.

Jump over the ductwork to the adjacent roof and move around the right corner toward the blue waypoint (a marker on your map you've manually placed as a destination).

While cloaked, jump to the ground near the beams and enter the building.

Go down the stairs, taking cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects) at the bottom behind plywood sheeting to recharge. This triggers new waypoints and the objective: “Investigate the Crash Site: Examine the alien pods.”

Continue forward, eliminating any hostiles on the stairwells.

Use the landing near the ammo crate on the stairwell as a sniping platform to target hostiles in the crash site below.

Remove the Scarab’s silencer to increase its power, which will draw the Cell forces.

Use the building's cover to recharge while remaining cloaked to spot and target enemies, shooting and then ducking back into cover.

This tactic will lure Cell troopers onto the stairwells and a second-story walkway. Use the Marshall (a powerful weapon) for easy kills. The Marshall has a stealth model; do not silence it, as the noise attracts more enemies.

Stay on the landing near the ammo crate to deal with enemies, descending occasionally to check the walkway or lower stairwell.

When enemy opposition decreases, toggle the Marshall to attach the silencer, descend to the second level, cloak, and go left around the walkway toward the Ceph escape pod.

Momentarily activate Nanovision to check for hostiles, then jump down.

Crouch behind the brick planter to recharge, then move toward the nearby pod and examine it. Gould expresses disappointment at the lack of alien tissue.

Use the planter's cover to recharge again and move clockwise around the debris site, using brick planters for cover.

Recharge in a large recess of a building about forty meters before the second pod.

Cloak and move through the rubble to the second pod, finding neither has viable samples. An APC in the distance may target you if your energy runs out.

Quickly move down into the crater as Gould suggests.

Watch for hostiles in the crater and move right past the circular wreck to get under overhanging broken pavement, below the alien debris. This places you at the waypoint.

Grab the JAW Rocket Launchers from the open weapons crate and replenish your ammo.

Look into the dimly lit office to trigger the mission’s next phase.
