Crysis 2 Part 7 walkthrough: Learn how to use Armor Mode, find grenades, and utilize stealth tactics to bypass Cell operatives.
Walkthrough
- 1After exiting the drug store, turn right to bypass the EMAT barrier and jump to the ledge above.
- 2Four Cell operatives will challenge you after you are informed that the suit has rebooted, enabling the armor mode (a mode that places more of the suit’s energy into protection and will slowly drag down the meter).
- 3The Cell will fire on you, detonating explosive canisters nearby.
- 4Move back and fall to the dumpster below. Recharge, cloak, jump back up, and quickly take refuge in the corner near the stairwell on the right.
- 5Step out while cloaked, locate a red explosive canister below, and hit it to kill any Cell below. Regain your position in the sheltered corner to recharge.
- 6Cloak and use the “Ledge Grab” option to vault to the roof above.
- 7Shoot or melee the Cell operative on the roof, then use this “high ground” to neutralize any survivors.
- 8Grab a Feline sub-machine gun to replace the M 12 Nova handgun.
- 9Take the stairwells opposite your entry to an overlook where tactical options are available.
- 10Cloak as soon as you get to the overlook and drop onto the lower roof.
- 11Take the fragmentation grenades (you can carry up to five).
- 12Use the visor to locate visible Cell operatives below and toss grenades at them. Firing a weapon through the cloak or throwing grenades through it will deplete your energy.
- 13Look toward the “Flank” option and you will see troops coming toward you in the alleyway. Toss a grenade into the alleyway by elevating your trajectory to a steep angle.
- 14Drop into the diner via the hole in the roof.
- 15Recharge behind the front counter, cloak, and move out, going toward the bus to the right of the diner.
- 16Follow the building’s wall, stopping behind the tall barrier to recharge.
- 17Enter the alleyway; the open storm sewer service port is just ahead.
- 18Kill or bypass the Cell trooper loitering in the alleyway and jump into the open storm sewer.
- 19Follow the piping and when “danger” is indicated, duck under the arcing cables.
- 20Interrupt the electrical current with the switch on the left side of the passage.
- 21Continue through the water-filled drain, swimming and jumping as needed.
- 22Exit via the hole in the wall.
- 23Open the mesh gate.
- 24Move along the corridor and activate Nanovision (a mode that allows enhanced vision in smoky, dark or dusty environments and is excellent for spotting enemies). Note that using Nanovision is a substantial drain on your energy.
- 25Veer left, crouching under the gate.
Tips
- There is a “New York Souvenir” on the counter of the drug store you passed through to get to the battle location.
- The first New York “Speeding Ticket” of the game is given in this hostile area. It will require you to clear or nearly clear this entire area or to just get the citation and hope to live as the Cell pummel you when your cloak fails. You get the citation on the avenue going north from Fred’s Diner toward the “Evacuation Post 2” barrier where a pair of hard to see lookouts reside. The camera is on the light post above the 25 MPH sign. Race past it for the “Speeding Ticket” and make for the “Infiltrate” option.
- The “Infiltrate” option uses the storm sewers to bypass obstacles and is best used in conjunction with the “Exit” option to get to the subway system entrance. You can easily get to the “Infiltrate” option by jumping from the Diner to the trailer to the platform.
- The “Flank” option uses stealth tactics to avoid enemy positions by flanking them and getting into the storm sewer.
- The “Exit” option, used in conjunction with “Infiltrate,” will get you to the subway system entrance. Expect to encounter several Cell guards near the subway’s entrance.
- Starting a heated battle with the nearly two-dozen Cell operatives that can spawn in this area is not the best policy, but with your first grenades in hand, you simply have to try them out.
- The strength imparted by the Nanosuit will allow you to throw a grenade almost into the alleyway.
- There are many elevated platforms that can aid anyone trying to clear the area and cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects) is plentiful but so is the opposition.
- While both evasive paths are viable, you can have an easier passage by selecting “Flank.”
- If you run out of energy or come face-to-face with a patrolling Cell operative, you may have to make a kill, but strive to avoid them by stopping or sidestepping if possible.
- The heat signatures of people and alien Harvesters scribe a path using Nanovision, although the route is linear and easy to follow without it.
- “New York Souvenir”
- “Speeding Ticket”
- Feline sub-machine gun
- Fragmentation grenades
