Learn how to navigate the Melon Patch, defeat hostile melons and scarecrows, and find hidden treasures like gold bars and art pieces in this Crusader Kings III guide.

Alright, so you've stumbled upon the Melon Patch. Now, I know there are a bunch of treasures scattered around here, but don't go charging in just yet. All the melons are hostile, and they've got that creepy scarecrow dude, the Korobokle, with them. They'll all come at you at once if you're not careful!

Here's the plan: Your best bet is to head to the open area northwest of the patch. From there, you can draw the Meloncholies (that's what they're called) out one by one. It's way easier to take them down in smaller groups.

Once you've thinned their numbers a bit, send your troops to deal with the scarecrow. After he's down, the rest of the Meloncholies will just give up and die. Then, you can finally start searching the area for goodies.

Treasure Hunt Time:

  • First, cut down the bushes to the left of where you first entered. You'll find a hole to dig up – inside is a gold bar!
  • Now, head right (northwest) and follow the river. There's a glowing hole here. It'll take some serious digging, but you'll unearth Art Piece 99, "Potato Worm" by Ibukikksu.
  • Keep going right until you spot the red sign. That's your Wonder Spot #4: Melon Patch.
  • Check out the south side of the melon patch. You'll find a crack in the ground that you can open up. Dig there for another gold bar.
  • Finally, explore another little path off to the side. You'll find Art Piece 04, "Gorilla Potato" by Aturah. Watch out though, a giant frog likes to jump out from the water and ambush you!

That's enough adventuring for one day. Head back to the castle and get some rest!
