Learn how to develop the Farmland in Crusader Kings III, including building costs, citizen bonuses, and strategic advantages for your burgeoning kingdom.

The Farmland is a key area in your kingdom, located directly south across the river from Castle Town. It's a flat, grassy area that starts out occupied by Oniis. You'll need to clear out the tough Onii Man guarding the nearby Onii Grounds to the east before you can really start developing it. Once it's clear, you can build the shopping arcade at the north end and the moon harvest farmstead in the south. Keep an eye out for Skinny Ray's observatory, perched on a hill east of the shopping arcade.

I really suggest you prioritize getting the funds for the shopping arcade as soon as you can. Seriously, it might seem expensive, but those merchants are invaluable. They help you find more treasure, and some of the early ones will even give you free equipment if you just chat with them! The moon harvest is also important because certain buildings there act as workplaces for farmers, letting you train them up.

The Farmland also shares a border with the Onii Kingdom to the south. Once you defeat the Onii King, you can use the checkpoint to the south as a shortcut back to the valley where you fought him, and it also leads to the Sunflower Plains.
