Your guide to Command & Conquer: Generals' China 4 "Broken Alliances" mission. Learn how to destroy Stinger Sites, capture the Chinese War Factory, and deal with Toxin Facilities.

Alright, let's tackle China Mission 4, "Broken Alliances," set in the Tanggula Mountains. This one's rated medium difficulty and, honestly, can be a bit of a slog because the map layout is like a maze. But don't worry, we'll get through it!

Your main goals here are to destroy the five Stinger Sites and capture the Chinese War Factory. You'll also be introduced to Hackers, which are super useful for boosting your cash flow.

There's a Toxin Facility in the mountains surrounded by a river. If you blow it up with regular weapons, the toxins will spill into the water, which is a big no-no. The only way to safely destroy it is with fire, but those pesky Stinger Sites are messing with our MIGs. That's where your commando team comes in to take out the Stinger Sites.

First things first, in your General's powers, make sure you've got access to Red Guard Training, Cluster Mines, Emergency Repair, and especially Cash Hack. Once you're in the game, head to your Barracks and train up some Hackers. They'll be your little cash cows, supplying you with extra funds.

Grab some more Infantry, and then it's time to make your move. Attack the nearest Stinger Site. Once you take it down, expect some reinforcements to show up. Your next step is to capture the Oil Derrick to keep the cash flowing. With that secured, it's time to push on and take out the next two Stinger Sites.

Here’s a neat trick for the next site: before you advance, place a nice little circle of Cluster Mines around it. When the Toxin Tractor rolls up, it'll trigger the mines, clearing the path for you. After that, you'll need to advance to take out the next Stinger Site.

The final Stinger Site is pretty far from your current position, but don't worry, a Chinese War Factory is nearby. This is where your commando team shines. Use Black Lotus to capture the War Factory. Once you've got it, have your other Infantry units deal with any remaining GLA troops in the area.

With the War Factory under your control, start producing some Dragon Tanks and other armored units. Then, it's time for a full-on assault on the enemy base. Capture any key buildings you need, and then produce some Quad Cannons. Use your Dragon Tanks and Quads to cross the bridge, making sure to clear out any garrisoned buildings along the way. Finally, blow up that last Stinger Site, and watch those MIGs fly in to do their job!
