Alright, let's dive into Mission 2 of the China campaign, "Hong Kong Crisis." This one throws you into the bustling city of Hong Kong, and it's rated as 'Easy' with a decent 'Fun Factor' of 4. Your main goals here are to get your base up and running, take out a nasty Toxin Outpost, and then demolish the GLA's Convention Centre and any buildings attached to it.

This mission is a good place to get familiar with the Tank Hunter and Gattling Tank units, and you'll even see the mighty Overlord make a quick appearance. The GLA has set up shop in the Convention Centre, cooking up all sorts of nasty stuff like Suicide Bombers and Toxin weapons. China tried a massive assault, but the GLA blew up the bridge, taking out most of the army. You're part of the lucky few who made it across.

Hong Kong is a crowded place, so keep those Gattling Tanks handy – they're great for dealing with the waves of infantry the GLA will throw at you. For your General's powers, I'd suggest grabbing Red Guard Training, Artillery Barrage, and Emergency Repair. They'll all come in handy.

Walkthrough

First things first, get your base established. Use your first Dozer to build a Command Centre and your second Dozer for a Nuclear Reactor. The only decent spot for your base is in the soccer field. Get some defenses up on both roads leading into your base; filling Bunkers with Tank Hunters is a solid choice.

Start churning out some Gattling Tanks, BattleMasters, and a few more Red Guards. Your immediate target is the Toxin Facility. Use your BattleMasters to handle any enemy Tractors, while the Gattling Tanks should chew through infantry and Car Bombs.

Send your Red Guards to capture key GLA structures: the Arms Dealer, the Refinery, and the Anthrax Bunker. Once captured, build some defenses around them to keep them safe. Grab a Technical or two, load them up with infantry, and send them back to your main base for now.

Once your base is secure and you've got a decent force, it's time to explore the southeast part of the map. You'll find a ferry that can drop off some Chinese forces to help you ambush the GLA base. Load up those Technicals with infantry and send them on their way!

For the main assault on the Convention Centre, use your Gattling Tanks to clear out any Rebels and Terrorists. Your BattleMasters will be the ones to actually destroy the Convention Centre and its attached buildings. Keep an eye out; sometimes a train will drop off more Red Guards that you can use to bolster your forces.

Tips

Remember that Tank Hunters are your best bet against enemy vehicles, so make sure you have a good number of them in your defensive structures and in your army.
Don't underestimate the power of the Gattling Tank against GLA infantry spam. They can clear out groups of enemies very quickly.
Capturing the Arms Dealer is crucial for getting more resources and potentially new units or upgrades, so prioritize that.
Keep an eye on your mini-map for any enemy advances, especially around your base defenses. The GLA likes to send waves of infantry and suicide units.
