Navigate the Inverted Beginning and Inverted Underground Caverns in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Find items like the Talisman, Life Max up, Zircon, Opal, Beryl circlet, Hammer, Antivenom, and Fire boomerang.

This section covers the early parts of the Inverted Castle, starting right after closing the initial door. You'll encounter Jack O’ Bones enemies, who throw skulls. Look for a Heart Max Up behind the first one. After the second Jack O’ Bones, a save point is located on the right, and a teleporter can be found in the top-right room.

Leaving the teleporter, head to the middle-left room to find the Talisman accessory. This accessory has a chance to negate damage when Alucard is hit, though the exact rate is unknown. While useful, the Moonstone and Mystic Pendant are generally considered more valuable.

Proceed to the top-left door to exit this area. You'll enter the room where Death stripped Alucard of his gear. An opening above leads to a room on the right containing a Life Max Up. This room is also useful for map coverage.

The next room presents more challenges. Before engaging the Jack O’ Bones on the right, jump to the platforms connected to the stairs to find a High Potion. Continue right to encounter Jack O’ Bones and the Dodo Bird. Further on, you'll face the Dragon Rider, which charges forward. To avoid its collision damage, position yourself between its landing spots or use Mist Form. The Dragon Rider is defeated after a few hits. You'll encounter another Jack O’ Bones and Dragon Rider before moving to the next room.

This room is reminiscent of the normal castle's Merman area. Break the bottom-left and bottom-right sides of the large rock formation. The right side yields a Pot Roast. Transform into a wolf and walk across the rock path to the right side. From the left ledge, transform into a bat and fly to the right side. In the top-right corner of this room, a hidden entrance leads to a secret room containing a Zircon, Opal, and Beryl circlet. Remember the Beryl circlet for later use.

Drop down from the secret room's entrance and go through the door on the right. This standard room contains Jack O’ Bones, Nova Skeletons, Warg Riders, and Oruburos. The Warg Rider is an enemy on a warg with a lance; after taking damage, the rider dismounts, leaving a regular warg. If approaching from the left, you can defeat the Jack O’ Bones, then use wolf form to speedrun through. However, space may be limited on the return trip.

The next room is a dead-end, leading to the inverted castle entrance. Drop down and enter the small room at the bottom to find a Hammer and Antivenom. This room is primarily for map coverage.

Backtrack to the room with the rock conglomerate. Below the door to this room is a hole. Drop down into this area, landing on stairs that lead to a door.

This new area features more skeletons and the Blue Venus Weed, which can be difficult to hit due to its vines pushing you away.

Subsequent rooms are dead ends. The first room on the right contains a save point, and the bottom room holds a Fire boomerang. After this, you've completed the inverted Beginning section. Return to the main room, ascend to the top-left, and enter the red door to reach the Inverted Underground Caverns.
