Walkthrough for Knights, Darkwing. in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Find items, defeat enemies like Medusa Heads and Bomb Knights, and uncover secrets in the clocktower.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Enter the clocktower and take the bottom path. Drop down and enter the room on the left to find the Dragon Helm. Equip it as it's an upgrade.
  2. 2
Explore the current room for map coverage and items: Magic Missile, Karma Coin, Str. Potion, Luminus, Smart Potion. There are no secret rooms here.
  3. 3
Proceed through the top right doorway into the next section of the clocktower.
  4. 4
This room contains Medusa Heads. Go through the bottom left doorway.
  5. 5
In the next room, you'll face Cloaked Knights and Medusa Heads. The Bronze Cuirass can nullify the petrifying effect of Medusa Heads. Attack the two gears on the walls until they click, then leave through the right entryway.
  6. 6
The subsequent room also has Medusa Heads and Cloaked Knights, along with gears on the walls. Hit all four gears correctly to open the gate at the top right, revealing a secret room with a Diamond, Life Apple, and Sunstone.
  7. 7
After collecting the items, exit the room, drop to the floor, and attack the destructible wall on the bottom left. Enter the revealed secret area, follow the path, and collect the Heart Max Up and Life Max Up near the cloaked knight. Return to the main gear room.
  8. 8
Go through the bottom right door into a new area with castle-like scenery.
  9. 9
The main enemy here is the Bomb Knight. Be cautious of its bombs. The first Bomb Knight is near a moving spike platform; its bombs will hit the ceiling, posing no threat.
  10. 10
Find hidden items: take the upper path to the right. At a dead end, break the wall to find the Moon Rod. This unique item has a special attack activated by specific button inputs, but the Dark Blade is generally preferred.
  11. 11
Leave the Moon Rod room, drop to the floor, and return to the top of the room to access another section.
  12. 12
Find a drop-off point to reach another part of the room. Use the larger spike platform to reach a small section containing a Pot Roast consumable.
  13. 13
Proceed to the next room at the far bottom right.
  14. 14
This horizontal room has no enemies but contains items behind destructible walls. Find TNT on the right side of the first pillar's platform. Above you near a broken staircase, find a Bwaka Knife. On the right side of the last pillar's platform, find a Shuriken.
  15. 15
Enter the next room for the boss battle against Darkwing.
Tips
  • Equip the Dragon Helm found early in the clocktower for an equipment upgrade.
  • The Bronze Cuirass can prevent Alucard from being turned to stone by Medusa Heads.
  • The Moon Rod has a unique projectile attack, but it requires specific button inputs and has a delay, making the Dark Blade a more reliable weapon.
  • Be aware of the Bomb Knight's explosive projectiles, though the first one encountered is in a safe position.

Boss Fight: Darkwing

Darkwing is considered a pushover, though slightly more challenging than Karasuman. He primarily uses wing flaps to push the player back if they are on opposite sides of the arena.
