After leaving the Long Library, backtrack down the tower towards the Marble Gallery entrance. Continue down the path where you will encounter an Armor Lord on the left. Keep descending until you reach a steel grate. The torch nearby contains the Knife sub-weapon; it's recommended to switch to it, even over the Bible sub-weapon. Continue down the tower to the bottom and drop into an observatory. Here, you can find chairs by a table and a telescope. Press UP near the telescope to trigger a scene showing the ferryman, hinting at his existence in the game.

Return to the Armor Lord's location. This enemy is challenging. When you approach, it deploys an impenetrable shield that blocks all attacks. Stop attacking and move away to make it lower the shield. Its attacks cover the entire platform, so jump off when it prepares one, then return to attack. In the room with the Armor Lord, the bottom-left wall is breakable and contains a Pot Roast. Stand in the broken section for about ten seconds to reveal a hidden platform that will ferry Alucard to the room below. This purple platform remains even if you leave and re-enter the room. In this lower room, you can find the Jewel Knuckles and the Mirror Cuirass. The Jewel Knuckles offer higher attack power but have less reach than the saber. The Mirror Cuirass has the same stats as the Bronze Cuirass but prevents petrification from Medusa Heads.

After completing objectives in the Outer Wall, proceed to the elevator above. Take it to the third/last stop. Exit the elevator and go through the red door directly above it. This room contains the teleporter, which allows for faster travel throughout the castle. Activate it by pressing UP at the keyhole. The teleporter in the Outer Wall features a Lion symbol; the one you teleport to will have a Horse symbol, serving as a visual identifier. Exit this room to the right.
