Guide to navigating the Royal Chapel in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Learn how to break through spikes, pass grates, and open doors to uncover hidden areas and items.
In the Royal Chapel, the objective is to access two previously inaccessible areas. One is a long hallway, and the other is the room with the long stairs, requiring exploration of its ceiling. These areas contain useful items.
Walkthrough
- 1Make your way to the grayed-out hallway in the Royal Chapel.
- 2Equip the Spike Breaker armor to break through the spikes blocking the path.
- 3Use the Mist relic to pass through the grate barricade.
- 4Use the Jewel of Open to pass through the green/blue door.
- 5After passing through the door, you will meet Maria. Talk to her and grab the Silver Ring, which is necessary for the storyline.
- 6Next, head to the grayed-out area below the hallway you just navigated. This area is accessible using the Leap Stone and Bat relics.
- 7In this room, you will find several items in pots on platforms that require flying to reach.
- 8The items found in the top part of this room include: Morningstar, Boomerang, TNT, Ankh of Life, Shuriken, Magic Missile, and Mystic Pendant.
- 9It is recommended to equip the Mystic Pendant for increased magic meter regeneration. The Ankh of Life can be useful if you are using the faerie familiar, as it increases the healing amount of potions. A suggested equipment setup is the Moonstone and Mystic Pendant.
- 10Once finished in the Royal Chapel, exit the area. You should be at the bottom of the stairs in the room where you found the map coverage.
- 11Drop down to the area below, where the red door and save room are located.
- 12Go through the red door to enter the Marble Gallery.
