Luger (German and Russian pistol)

Learn how to effectively use the Luger and Russian pistols in Call of Duty: World at War when you're out of ammo or using a sniper rifle.

The German Luger and Russian pistols function identically in Call of Duty: World at War, differing only in appearance and sound. You should primarily use these pistols when you have run out of ammunition for your primary weapon, or when you are using a rifle, particularly a sniper rifle. If an enemy gets too close while you are attempting to snipe, it is difficult to land a shot, so switch to your pistol and aim for the head (a critical hit location). Each pistol holds approximately 7 shots before requiring a reload. Landing about 2 to 3 shots to the head will eliminate an enemy. Pistols can also be effective for finishing off an opponent who presents an easy kill, especially if you wish to conserve ammunition. They can even be used for suppressing fire in certain situations.
